Newtonhill Pipeband

Newtonhill Pipe Band is a recreational pipe band. We are a voluntary charitable organisation whose aim is to disseminate the knowledge and enjoyment of pipes and pipe bands to the wider community and to teach both piping and drumming.

Originally named Craigmarroinn Pipe Band, practicing in Muchalls the band changed its name when we moved our practices to Newtonhill. During the 20+ years the band has been in existence, more than 250 players have been taught drums and pipes, and many have gone on to sit SQA and Royal Scottish Pipe Band Association exams.​

We are a community focussed band and we play at many community events across the north east of Scotland, and further afield every year.
